Who it’s for

  • Two-person podcasts

Co-hosts, or a host and a guest. Each face gets its own camera, and the wide holds the room.

  • Interviews where both sides matter

Questions and answers both land in close-up, so you can cut on every reaction.

  • Shows cut for Shorts and Reels

    Each close-up is recorded in 5.7K, so a vertical 9:16 crop (about 1700 × 3024 pixels) still beats 1080 × 1920.

Camera plan · drawn to scale

Where every camera goes.

Camera A shoots the whole table from the front. Cameras B and C each sit beside one person and look across at the other, about 20° off their eyeline — the cross-shooting setup most podcasts use.

Distances are camera-to-face for the Pocket 6K in 6K or 5.7K: focal length × frame width ÷ 23.1 mm sensor width. In 4K the sensor crops in, so stand about 1.5× farther back. Full distance guide

  • Only Sigma lenses free? Set B and C to 35 mm and move them in to about 1.2 m (4 ft).
  • Keep B and C just outside camera A’s frame: check A’s screen and slide them out until they disappear.
  • Seat both people at the same height so the close-ups match when you cut between them.

FAQ · 3 cameras

Questions about this kit.

Deposits, pickup times and cancellations are on the full FAQ.

Why three cameras for two people?

Two close-ups and a wide is the setup most video podcasts use. You can always cut to whoever is talking, show reactions, and fall back to the wide when people talk over each other.

Which lenses come with the kit?

Every camera includes one lens: Sigma 18–35, Tamron 24–70, Tamron 70–200 — or bring your own Canon EF lens. The plan above uses 1 × Sigma 18–35, 2 × Tamron 24–70; you can change any of them when you build the kit. See all lenses.

Do the kits include microphones?

No. Each camera has a mini XLR input with 48V phantom power and a 3.5 mm mic input, so you can plug your own mics straight in — or record audio separately and sync it in DaVinci Resolve, which is free.

How long can each camera record?

5+ hours per camera at our podcast preset (5.7K Blackmagic RAW 12:1, 24 fps) — up to ~10 hours in 4K. Each camera records to its own 1TB drive, and the camera shows the exact time left.
